| The Academy | |
The Academy was started to encourage people who wished to build a model railway layout but considered they did not have the knowledge.
This layout is designed and constructed by the members and is the result of this one night per week year long practical class. This work has been backed up by a number of presentations covering electrics to tree making or practicals, like building copper-clad track. The members have learnt much and have been involved in the fun and chaos of working in a group. Although the classes have ended, the members continue to develop this layout.
The Academy is managed and run by the BNHMRS. A future class has not yet been planned.
