BNHMRS Society

About Us

The Society meets in it's own club house on Tuesday through Friday nights weekly.
We support 5 working groups, OO Steam & Diesel, O Gauge, OO Diesel Electric, OO Southern Steam,
and 2mm Finescale.

At regular intervals we all meet for formal Society business or for social activities such as slide shows, BBQ's
or for club house maintenance sessions.

Currently the society has 3 layouts either fully operational or under construction:

SE28 00, a freelance layout based on a South London scene, running Diesel and Electric Traction
Lulworth which is a 29 foot long 00 finescale layout loosely based on Swanage.
Stratton St George A Freelance 00 layout based somewhere in the Western Region

Whilst the above 3 layouts are owned by the Society, the rolling stock is owned by the members. Meanwhile, some members have their own layouts at home and most have other interests in other scales, gauges and styles.

The current 2mm layout which is part owned & operated by a sub-group is Coley Park.

The O Gauge layout HW Yard is owned & operated by a sub-group of members although a full club layout is being planned.

Pop in and see whats happening and hopefully join us. We promise that you will learn many skills, make friends and above all enjoy the hobby to the full.
